Opportunity: Infrastructure and Operational Science and Engineering Research at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) provides leading-edge research and development for the national military and civil works missions. Our work focuses on military installations, contingency bases, sustainable training areas, and civil works support. A key objective of our research is to improve the Army’s capacity to design, build, operate, and maintain infrastructure more efficiently. Our goal is to ensure environmental quality and safety while minimizing life-cycle costs. Our research areas include: Sustainable installations; Military ranges and lands; Robotics and autonomous systems; Resilient facilities and infrastructure; Smart sustainable materials; Installation decision support; and Crisis & contingency operations. We are looking for individuals who are interested in conducting research in these areas. Some opportunities include hands-on laboratory and/or field work. You will work alongside our expert staff of research engineers and scientists in a real-world laboratory environment, conducting impactful research to make things better for our soldiers and our Nation.
